Texas State Board of Public Accountancy Rules for Reinstatement of an Individual License for Certain Individuals Who Have Moved to Another State

A former Texas licensee who moved out of state and became licensed in that state, and who now seeks reinstatement in Texas can be reinstated at a reduced fee. Review the following checklist to determine if you qualify.

Reinstatement Requirements for Certain Individuals Who Have Moved to another State

(Section 901.405 (f) of the Public Accountancy Act)

To qualify you must be able to answer “Yes” to all the requirements listed in the Individual Reinstatement Checklist below.

Requirement Yes No
I was licensed in Texas.    
I failed to renew my license as required for three consecutive years, which resulted in the revocation of my license in accordance with Section 901.502 (3) or (4) of the Public Accountancy Act.    
I moved to another state, and I have been in practice and licensed in that state for the preceding two years.
